Thermostat battery: If the thermostat is dead, your AC unit won't run.
Check your air vents: If you don't feel any air flowing, check to make sure your air vents are opened properly so air flow isn't restricted.
Check the breaker: Check all of your circuit breakers and make sure they aren't tripped. Sometimes all you need is to turn a breaker back ON.
Thermostat switch settings: Take a look and make sure the thermostat is set to "COOL" and not "HEAT" setting (This happens a lot actually)
Check your air filter: When is the last time you changed your air filter? Dirty filters can be the cause of a lot of problems and prevent proper air flow. Replace yours if it is dirty.
Clean the outdoor unit: Remove any leaves, sticks or other loose debris from the condenser coils on your outdoor unit.
